Creating a 3D effect from a 2D image: Conversion Kit with Full Technical Support

With this 3D effect visualizer package, you can easily showcase your products image in a more realistic and engaging way, allowing customers to interact with them in a more immersive experience.

This product features an illustration I created with a 3D effect added for depth and dimension. To achieve this effect, each PSD layer was individually exported to PNG and placed on 3D planes within the 3D environment in Fusion using DaVinci Resolve.

The camera has been animated to simulate a slight unsteadiness, just enough to perceive the 3D parallax effect.

The distance between the 20 planes, including the one used by the Bot, has been carefully studied and tested to produce the best possible result.

Although you can modify the camera movement and the distance between the layers, this package is ready to use, and all its Fusion nodes are well organized.

What is the trick?

Keep in mind that the distance between each layer, particularly for the robot, does not necessarily follow their real-life distances. If you pivot the camera and examine the distances, you will see that they may not make sense. There is a bit of creative cheating here for the sole purpose of producing the best visual result according to the camera movement.

What matters is not what is rational but what looks best in the final shot.
